Gold and White theme.

Gold and cream was the table theme for the wedding of Ahemed and Chiara. Small flower arrangements were created using white lillies and white roses, with a gold three piece candle holder in the middle. Gold glass candle holders were using to hold tealight candles, with gold peddles elegantly placed around the table.

School Debutante.

Billanook College, had the year 12 Debutante Ball at a hall in the Yarra Valley region of Victoria. The tables were set using a brown and white theme that was to contrast with the surrounding features. The Design-A-Table stepped outside their regular services, and hung four twenty metre white drapes from the spectacular chandelier. The night was a great success and all the young boys and girls looked magnificent.

New table design...

The wedding of Richard and Valerie was located at a private location down on the Mornington Peninsula. The simple theme consisted of a light green Royal Doulton crockery, exclusively provided by the Design-A-Table team. The square tables was a personal touch made by the bride, whom wanted to steer away from the typical round tables. The centrepiece consisted of white and green orchards, which were wrapped around the entire metal frame. White drapes were hung from the ceiling to create a mediterranean mood.

Olive tree theme.

The following table design was created for an out-door wedding, located in the Botanical Gardens, Melbourne. The bride and groom decided to thank their guests, by giving them an olive tree each, which were placed on the guests chairs. The centre feature of the tables consisted of green moss, with tall and short pink cherry blossom within the centre. The table cloths were a simple burnt red, that contrasted with the cherry blossom feature. Simple wooden chairs were used which matched the floating floors perfectly.

Sure, fancy flowers and vases will always have their place, but why not make Mother Nature an honored guest at your reception table? Birch bark cake stands and coasters are starting to gain popularity, as are bright fruit towers, succulent plant centerpieces, and apothecary jars filled with moss and stones. Looking for a chic but cheap solution? Hit your local flea market and stock up on colorful vintage tins; then plant fresh herbs in them. Not only do they make funky centerpieces, they're also great fresh favors your guests are sure to love.

Eco-friendly and Green Weddings

Going green is the trend in almost every area of life and is spilling over into the wedding scene as well. Many couples are choosing organic fabrics, flowers, food and invitations, etc. In the event of global climate change, making green and sustainable choice helps our environmental crisis tremendously. Decisions that lessen the amount of carbon emissions promote sustainable practices, support local businesses, foster community and worldwide health and longevity. As Design-A-Table's oath to our loyal clients, we have begun ordering and purchasing such items to provide to our brides and event co-ordinators whom wish to add a touch of eco-greeness to their special occasion.
